Youth Conference

Hey all,
Well it is the eve of the "Great Steve Roberson What Used to be Heart of the South and is Now Impact Due to Both Space and Music Issues Youth Conference"! I'm so excited. It's in Gatlinburg and we're staying in a hotel all week and we get to go to Dollywood and the Dixie Stampede and, and, and Steve Roberson is there, and, and it is going to be great fun, and, and, hopefully we'll also have free wireless all week. In other news, the Aletheian girls really know how to get their grove on. Recently we had a gym and prophet's chamber all to ourselves and we discovered an ESPN Jock Jams cd, so we put it on the gym speaker system after the guys left. Let me tell you, that worldy music brings out the phat cluber in me! Wish you could have been there Jeff. (J/K) ; ), but you can get me the cd for later . . .

Big House Update

Things are better. You know how you get in those moods and the whole world just feels like junk? I guess I was just in one of those moods and I took everything personally. No one really knew I was mad at them some I was able to just let it all out and get over it on my own without causing further problems. I did say something to skinny-man 130 lb. Chris. We were passing in a narrow staircase and I looked at him and said, "guess I'm not too fat to slip by, hun?". I don't think he had any idea what I was talking about, but strangely I felt much better. . . . Now about the house itself. There are shoes and boys everywhere. I hardly know what to do with myself, there are so many boys! Some of them are close to our ages, but none of them act like it. It's crazy. We proverbial (to avoid offense) dropped our jaws when we found out the oldest was 21. None of them really act their age except the 15 year old neighbor who is always looking at you every time you see him. They are wierding me out and I can't wait until Saturday. isn't that awful? But in other news, yesterday they had us girls paint the railing in the front of their church and the boys help mow the ten acres surrounding it. It took us girls all day and we still ran out of paint (we started with two gallons) and for about the last full hour we had an audience. It was so weird. But we go through it. There is some delicious smelling coffee that is calling or brewing my name and I must seek it out. catch ya later . . .

Busy House

Sorry about the double posting, didn't catch that the first time. I am in house with what must be almost thirty people, 14 of which live here and 10 of them are boys (six of them teenage boys), pretty crazy. suprisingly this house is pretty clean though. I think some other people came over, they've just been coming and going, or comming and staying. The guys are staying here and the girls are staying with one of the grown up daughters and her family. There are 14 kids all together, but they were all adopted except for three. The boys room looks like a dorm room. There are six in one room ( pretty crazy ). I'm ready to come home. I'll probably be fine tommorow, but today . . . Jeff probably hates me for saying all this, if I'm making him suffer I shoulden't be allowed to complain about it . . . grumble, grumble, grumble . . . just don't hold all this against me. it's hard to be the disposable one, the one that everyone tries to be nice to (sometimes) but who no one really wants to get to know. I don't really identify with anyone on this team. I must be so bizzare . . . But I like being me and I refuse to concede to be someone other than who I am, someone who likes LOTR, dosen't like cheerleading, has a quirky sense of humor (Donnie) and is just a little on the different side. But it's that different side which makes no one on this team ever like to do what I like to do, I'm too darn independent for all of them, I just want someone to appreciate me for who I am without trying to change me . . . some support please . . .
