Back From the Dead

Ok everyone, Jeff, Jineane, Donnie, I'm here, alive in the cyber-world. I mananged to get Fridays off permanently (can I get an a-men . . . Jeff?). I know it's been a while since I blogged last. Did you know? College is busy . . . really, really busy. Like uber (sp?) busy. It's like, "OK next on my schedule, oh yeah, breathing" (feel free to interject some sarcasm here if you wish). But no really, I actually do have to practice breathing for my Class Voice class. I need to build up my breath support. There, Dr. Cash, I have you beat! When we're sitting in class after a quiz with no pens or any type of productivity whatsoever, I can be productive. I can practice breathing. Sad huhn?

Kill Me Now

I am so bored, and tired. I don't think I can take being couped up in this librayr alone much longer. I think I'm going to cry. I can handel being in here durring the week when I have work to do, but when the week is over, I just want a break. I can't believe I did this to myself. And nobody wants to come see me, not even my mother. I am crying. I want to quit but I know I can't. I won't do this to myself next year though.

Falling, Failing, and Flailing

If you are anything like me then you are, shall we say, human.
You make a lot of mistakes.
But, as a Christian we can't dwell on them (I'm talking to myself here, but if this happens to help any of you oh so faithful readers [I flatter myself {ha, ha, ha}], then that would be great). I knew writing this down would be helpful because I feel better already after doing that triple parentheses. But back to the subject, don't beat yourself up. Repent if you have wronged God, ask Him to forgive you, and then WHEN you make that same mistake again, move on, try to do better in the future, but accept God's promised forgiveness. The bible says that He remembers that we are dust. Now I know that we all want to please Him, and I'm not saying we shouldn't try, but I'm tired of feeling like I can't go to Him because I have to suffer through so kind of waiting period before I am allowed to talk to Him again. God is much bigger than that, and not anything like us. Let's remember that as we fall, fail, and flail through our days.

Baby leather skirts and polyester pants

I went up to church today to go on visitation and ended up helping with all the donations we've been getting for the hurricane relief fund. (I hope that can still count as visitation). Anyways, it turned uot to be fun going through the clothes, though a little gross at times. I think people were really just trying to get rid of some their junk, though a lot of it, like baby clothes, will be helpful. We found some really great stuff too, a lot of black clothes. There was this one leather mini skirt that had this patchwork on the front and we had a lot of fun with that one. Then there were these metallic blue running shoes, those were awsome. I also found this pair of pants that it took us forever to decide what to with. They were irredesant green parachute pants, amd boy were they ugly. There was also a lot of great vintage stuff. I wished i was shopping. But then there was also a lot of underwear and socks, eewwww!!! We threw most of that stuff away. But, all I think a lot of the stuff will really be a blessing to somebody.
