Oh man!!!!! (in a very scared kind of way)
Oh-man-oh-man-oh-man! Alathian try-outs are next week!!!!!! I just found out about 20 min. ago and I've already got butterflies in my stomach. I never make stuff like this. I don't get elected, I don't get picked, and I don't make the team. You say you need examples? Ok, officer of Secretery of Health, Education, and Welfare in my 6th grade class, I lost that election, of coarse I was also new; cheerleading, but then I'm also glad I lost that; I always wanted to be an NJHS or NHS officer or a band officer but I was never one of those; I lost "Most Talented" in the yearbook and drum major to the same person, . . . do I need to prolong my humiliation? The only teams that I were on (soccer 2 xs) were teams that you didn't have to try out for and I was only 2nd string in high school level. In the band the only reason I wasn't last chair was because Sarah didn't care enough about it to try and challenge me. I am pathetic. But, (grand pause here) that was high school. This (insert another grand pause here if you wish) is college. This is my chance to turn all that around. If God sees fit for me to be an Alathian, then that is what I will be. Man, My hands are freezing and my stomach is in a knot. I want this so bad, but I just have to keep giving it to God, though I suppose if I have really given it to him then I won't have to keep giving it to him because he will already have it.

by the way, this was not written to elicit pity, but rather encouragement . . .
Don't think position reflects whether or not you are pathetic. You are not pathetic if you can be satisfied with what you have and where you are. Honestly, do you think that God considers anyone not NHS officer or Alethian pathetic? There are many great Christians who never held a position.
having food and rainment, therewith be content...
